Healthy Youth Survey

The Washington State Healthy Youth Survey measures health risk behaviors that contribute to morbidity, mortality, and social problems among youth in Washington State. These behaviors include alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, behaviors that result in unintentional and intentional injuries (e.g., violence), dietary behaviors, physical activity, and related risk and protective factors.

The survey results are an important source of needs-assessment data for school districts, community-based organizations, local health and human service agencies, and state agencies. The results are used to monitor the health status of adolescents and track progress on state and federal education and health-related goals.

The information from the Healthy Youth Survey may be used to identify trends in patterns of behavior over time. State-level results may also be used to compare national and other state-level results. State agencies, local health jurisdictions, county prevention coordinators, community mobilization coalitions, community public health and safety networks, and others use this information to guide policies and programs that serve youth.

The 2008 administration will be the eleventh statewide survey of Washington's students.

Entiat P.R.I.D.E.

Students continue with their fantastic behavior using Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence. To support our teams, we will have expectations for our sports events as well:

  • Perseverance – Maintain your cool—respect referees and guests from other schools.
  • Respect – Any game manager, principal, teacher on sight will be in charge.  All areas of the building will be treated as if the extracurricular activity was taking place during the school day. Respect the restrooms and report any problems.
  • Integrity – Pay attention and support the Entiat Tigers!
  • Discipline – All students in grades 6 and below must be with an adult at all activities. Be in the appropriate areas—you are here for football, not to go to your locker.
  • Excellence – All school expectations apply to extracurricular activities and when other schools see how our students behave, they are going to be impressed.

Get Your Pics in the Yearbook

The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.

Here is how you can submit photos online:
   • Go to FAMILY ACCESS on the left of this page. Click on the link for yearbooks.
   • Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
   • Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
   • Click "Save Details".

The Yearbook Staff will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions can be used in the book.
